What are the benefits of using a tripod and shooting multi-camera

The tripod is a vital piece of equipment as it provides sole stability for the camera and it enables the camera man with control he needs to film the most effective shots at precisely the right time. The tripod is important to balance the camera in order to get the most professional looking shots. Without a tripod the shots will be wonky and unbalanced and the production will look cheap and amorist.

A multi camera is a hugely important piece of equipment; this is as it allows the film to have the most effective and the most dramatic scenes it can possibly have. It is a great time saver as it enables the camera to film three actions at the same time, saving an extraordinary amount of time. It will also allow the camera to white balance the camera; creating a more professional look and a more effective scene.

When I come to film my actual production I will remember to set the Tripod up right, unscrew the camera holder, place the camera into the holder and then you have to white balance. This is important; as it makes the entire back ground clear and completely balanced. I have also learned the Dutch tilt which creates a dramatic and interesting effect.

I practiced with the multi camera and with the tripod with Jake Howells, here are my pictures to prove it:

My letter to Miss Forrester

My letter to Miss Forrester, asking if I could miss enrichment to go and film in the perfect location:

Dear Mrs Forester,
I am writing to you to request your permission, for me to be excused form the second half of our enrichment lesson on Wednesday 30th, next week.
I will be working on my media production, I am afraid that this is the only feasible time we would be able to film due to the availability of set, cast and crew. Also we where unable to acquire the necessary set for any time apart from 2:30-4:00pm. There is no other afternoon in my timetable where I have two frees or a practical media lesson; which would be ideal for filming.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would excuse me for this period, being vital that I complete this media assignment as it heavily affects my overall AS grade.
And if necessary, I promise to catch up on my enrichment at a further date.
Yours Sincerely
Raja Hanna

The request was however rejected.

Preliminary Task- Our Idea

Thy Father

For our preliminary task we have a idea about a powerful father and son reunion in a cafe. We have the son, who is a wealthy business man and the father who is a poor, unemployed man. The scene begins with the son approaching the train in a expensive suit and brown shoes. He is holding a Starbucks coffee, representing his wealth in that he can afford to pay £3 for a coffee. An old man then approaches his cabin and asks if he can sit there, the son off course allowes him to. The next scene developers when a lady with the refreshments approaches and the old man asks for a tea. When he resalises he can not afford it the young man offers to pay, this is there first real bond.

The next scene processes with a phone call from a soliceter to the young man, on the phone he says; "I'm not paying to sit on your arse all day, I'm paying you to find my father, his name is Albert Matthews." AT that moment the old man turns around and they both say the words "He left me 18 YEARS AGO!"

The show ends with a high angle shot of the cafe, this shot is there to signify that this is that start of a new chapter for the pair, the start of something new.
